Positioning lasers are used in tire retreading to ensure precise testing and alignment of the tread. This ensures that the new tread can be applied optimally and that quality is maintained.

In this application, the precise positioning of the tire blanks in the tire presses plays a crucial role. To ensure this, Z-LASER lasers project a clearly visible cross mark. When using the tire press, it is also essential that the lasers used are highly robust. In addition, the laser light should be clearly visible and safe for the eyes.

Several laser lines are used to precisely align the rubber layers on the drum. Green laser light with 520 nm or 532 nm is particularly advantageous here, as it is optimally visible on black rubber. The precise positioning of the lines is ensured by special brackets from Z-LASER. In addition, the laser modules impress with their stable line position even when refocusing, various optics with adjustable opening angles, and their eye safety, which ensures a high standard of occupational safety.

The width and edges of the rubber tracks are precisely monitored using laser light, ensuring that subsequent process steps run efficiently and that changeover times are minimized through early error correction. What matters is not only uniform projection, but also line straightness and thermal stability. The robust laser modules are specifically designed for these requirements, guaranteeing high precision and process reliability.
