In order to ensure operational safety and avoid unplanned downtime, railway infrastructure operators must regularly inspect their track systems for damage. For this purpose, rails, ties and ballast beds are scanned using triangulation sensors.

Multiple systems are installed either under service trains or sometimes even under specially prepared passenger trains. With regard to shock and vibration, the components are exposed to the highest loads in this application. Our high-power laser series ZQ1 is commonly used for this purpose, as it enables an inspection at regular train operating speeds under the influence of strong ambient light. With its certification according to DIN EN 61373:2011-04 cat.2 (Rolling Stock Equipment), we ensure that it can withstand these tough requirements also in the long term.
